Dulee: I’ll continue to shine

Liberian international Dulee Johnson has once again emphasized that he is committed to give out his best to Maccabi Tel Aviv just as he did in Sweden.

The 24-year-old charmed the Swedish Allsvenskan (top league) with his dazzling skills and charming field discipline and this has brought a lot of pressure on him to do same in Israel. Johnson said he knows much is expected of him but added that those days will surely come with time.

“At the moment I am with Maccabi and what is expected from me is to deliver to my very best. I am still committed to the club and respect it. I’ll continue to improve on my top form until we climb to the top,” Johnson said.

He added: “This is my first season with Maccabi and in Israel. I have played as a professional and have played an important role to ensure many wins for the team such as the Toto Cup. I have shown enough dedication and zeal and still want to do more. I’m happy to have proven my commitment for the club with my debut goal the last time.”

Dulee, who was on top of his game in Sweden resulting in him being named the Best Player of his club, AIK, on two occasions before moving to Israel last August hope to exhibit more of those skills with Maccabi.

“Sometimes it takes a season or a year for some players to study the system of new countries but I’m happy I have quickly adapted to the situation here in Israel. I know much is expected of me and I am doing all I can to push the team forward. I’ll collaborate with the team managers and my team mates to make our fans happy,” Dulee added.

Clarence Doe, an ardent fan of Dulee who is based in Accra, Ghana agreed that players need more time to study the game when they go on transfers. “I really admire DJ and really surprised he has easily fit into the Israeli league. I think he still needs sometime to bring back the Sweden magic.”
