Dulee: It’ll Be A Tough Season

AIK midfield ace Dulee Johnson says he foresees a very tough season as every team would be preparing to beat his side after winning both the Swedish Allsvenskan League and the Swedish Cup last year.
“Everybody would love to beat us when the league resumes because they envy us for winning both cups. This would be a very difficult season for us and we must put in a lot of effort to beat our opponents.
“Me and my colleagues are very much prepared for this and looking forward to a very contentious season. I want to help AIK to retain the league title and it is possible. I’m not scared of any team and looking at the team spirit and unity now I believe we can repeat last year’s performance,” the Liberian international told Goal.com.
“I know it would not be that rosy for us but the difficult it becomes the better we perform. It is going to be an interesting league this year. I can’t wait to shine again. I know God will lead me through.”
Johnson returned from Israel-based Maccabi Tel Aviv to join his former club win the Swedish league for the eleventh time.
The Swedish 2009 double title champions were in Singapore for a 10-day pre-season training session and rounded off their trip in a 1-1 friendly against league champions Singapore Armed Forces FC. They also held Norwegian champions Rosenborg 1-1 in a friendly over the weekend.
The 2010 Swedish League Allsvenskan resumes on March 13.
